Instead of working on all the different projects I started, I tried last week to focus on one single project, the scarf Willow, in brioche lace. I came to the conclusion that using ultrathin laceyarn was maybe not a good idea, so I switched to sockyarn. It's much easier to see now when I make a mistake, and I can correct the mistakes quicker, often on the same row.
Twocolor brioche stitch always has a light side, and a dark side. Maybe my dark side is a bit too dark. I am using Lang Jawoll magic degradé for the light side (n° 17 - greens), and Indigodragonfly merinosilk for the dark side. The name of this color : 'Is she all green and fuzzy and mossy?'. Pretty. But very dark.
Na 2 weken goed doorbreien heb ik een aardige lengte. Maar mijn fototoestel is kapot, en de foto's van de Iphone zijn altijd gekanteld op blogger. Nu ja, 't is wel duidelijk zeker?
I have a good lenght now. But I have a problem with my camera, and my Iphone and blogger are not on speaking terms. But you get the idea.
And because we had our twinedknitting practise group this week, I have cast on a pair of gloves. They won't be finished this winter, but come in handy next year. Or maybey May in New-Zealand is cold enough, and I have to hurry to finish these anyway?
