baby joy - babyvreugde

Several new moms and dads here at the office. I had to dig in my supply of baby hats to decorate all those little heads. (and after knitting the huge shawl, I really liked doing some nice quick projects).
Een paar verse mama's en papa's op kantoor en ik had een reden om mijn voorraad babymutsjes aan te vullen. Al die hoofdjes moeten opgefleurd worden, en na mijn monsterproject zijn zo'n kleine mutsjes een goede afwisseling.


Baby Zinder is showing a 3-peaked hat in 100% wool handpainted yarn. Doesn't he look supercute ?
Dit is Zinder met zijn 3-puntig mutsje in 100% wol van handpainted yarns. Is hij niet superschattig ?


Baby Willem-Jan is modeling the jester hat in Mountain colors Mountain Goat (mohair-wool). It's still cold here, and baby hats need covering !
Willem Jan is hier model voor een narrenmutsje in Mountain colours mountain goat (mohair en wol). Het is hier nog steeds koud, en babyhoofdjes hebben bescherming nodig !


Baby Jacob is the most recent addition. He wears an i-cord beanie, also in the mountain goat yarn.
Kleine Jacob is de nieuwste aanwinst. Hij draagt een 'beanie', in dezelfde mohair-wol. Ondanks de 55% mohair heeft dit garen niet het pluizige karakter wat je veel bij mohair vindt. Het is juist een glad garen, maar heel zacht en warm.

Alle mutsjes zijn een ontwerp van Wooly wormhead (naar beneden scrollen als je de babypatroontjes wil zien).



And this is a picture of baby Jan in a Koigu hooded jacket. I knit this before I had a blog, and before I took pictures. Jan is the older brother of baby Jacob, and is now a very active toddler. His mom sent me the picture. The jacket is still in the family and his younger brother will wear it soon. The pattern was given to me by an older lady in our knitting group (she makes tons of these in acrylic). I have made several in nice wools, and they are most of the time very appreciated.

En dit is een foto van Jan in een jasje met kap in Koigu merinowol. Ik heb dit gebreid voor ik een blog had, en alle brei-foto's bijhield... Jan is het oudere broertje van Jacob, en nu een actieve kleuter. Zijn mama zond me de foto. Het jasje is nog in de familie, en Jacob zal het binnenkort kunnen dragen. Dit patroontje kreeg ik van een oudere mevrouw in onze breigroep, die deze in acrylic breit en in serie. Ik heb dit patroon al verschillende keren in een mooi garen gebreid, en het wordt meestal erg geapprecieerd.

All moms and dads were proud to show their offspring and their handknits to the world. My husband just told me he has 4 pregnant collegues. I guess I know what to do ...
Alle mama's en papa's waren fier om hun nakomelingen met hun handgebreide spulletjes aan de wereld te showen. Ik hoor dat op kantoor bij mijn man er ook 4 babies op komst zijn, dus ik weet wat te doen....
