lizard ridge square before ironing

lizard ridge square after ironing

I have been ironing the lizard ridge squares. I know the pattern says 'steam blocking', but I really pressed and pushed with my iron to get the fabric very flat. Not what I normally would do with my knitting, but it works for this afghan !

And I also visited my LYS. I bought some Lang superwash to do the sewing up, and I chose a beautifull Rowan tweed DK for the border. Of course it is discontinued, I hope I'll have enough (2 more left in the shop). It's a charcoal grey, with little flecks of burgundy and navy. I am thinking about an attached i-cord border. I do have to reread my post before posting another one, I notice I have been blabbering about grey borders the previous 2 entries.

Hi Secret Knitter Pal! Your treats are packaged up and on their way across the ocean. Please keep an eye out for the package. Enjoy!

While trying to figure out who my "not in the USA" spoiler is, I found your blog. I'm glad! I had rejected Lizard Ridge, because I didn't enjoy knitting with Kureyon, but yours is so lovely that I almost forgot how I disliked the yarn!
