Supersimpele sokken voor de zoon, die leuk zijn voor de mama, dat is nog altijd het thema. De zoon verklaarde dat dit zijn favoriete sokken zijn, dus ik was op zoek naar iets gelijkaardigs (maar toch anders). Hier zitten de wreefminderingen onderaan op de voetzool, en niet boven op de wreef.
The theme is still supersimple socks for DS, entertaining socks for me. He declared that these were his best fitting socks, so I was looking for something similar, but not the same.

 

Deze breide ik voor mezelf in 2013. Je hebt meerderingen op de zool, en minderingen op de bovenvoet.
I have knit these ones for myself in 2013. They incoporate archshaped soles, with increases on the sole and decreases on the upperfoot.

Hetzelfde principe is in dit ontwerp gebruikt. Het patroon is gratis te downloaden via Ravelry.
Het is een beetje moeilijk om in dit donker gevlamd garen de constructie goed weer te geven, maar je merkt het wel op deze foto. De linkse sok zit rond een sokblokker, en de rechtse sok is ongeblokt. Het resultaat is een sok die een boogje maakt onder de zool, en dat is eigenlijk de natuurlijke vorm van de voet...

It's a bit difficult to see the construction in the dark yarn, but you can notice what happens in this picture. The left sock is blocked on a sock blocker, the right one is unblocked. The archshaped sole follows the natural curve of the foot.

Dat was het voor de simpele sokken denk ik. Sock Madness begint volgende week. Dat is een wedstrijd on-line, om het snelst ingewikkelde sokken breien. Ik ben niet zo competitief ingesteld, maar ik denk dat ik weer vanalles kan bijleren. Dit is de opwarmsok, met een dubbele spie/wreefmeerderingen op de voetzool. En een apart soort hiel die ik nog nooit gebruikt heb. Zo'n sokken krijg ik aan de zoon niet verkocht, het is 'just for fun'. Je kan nog inschrijven, de wedstrijd begint op 1 maart!
That was all for the simple socks I think. I succombed to the lure of the Sock Madness, although I am not really competitive. This warm-up sock has a double gusset, and a heel construction that is new to me. I don't think DS will like these, so it's just for fun! You can still enlist, the game starts 1st of March.
