Gelukkige verjaardag! - Happy Birthday!

Gelukkige 84ste verjaardag mama! Ik denk niet dat jij mijn blog leest, maar kom. Het verjaardagscadeautje is klaar, binnen een paar daagjes kom ik het persoonlijk afgeven, met een dikke kus erbij. 
Happy 84th Birthday Mom! I don't think you read my blog, but still... Your birthday present is finished, and in a few days I will bring it over.

Het werd een kanten sjaaltje, Peacock tail and leaf, uit het boek Knitted lace of Estonia.  Een ideaal patroontje om het breien van Estse bobbels (nupps) nog eens te oefenen. Op het einde kwam nog een lastig stukje, waar ik de boord aan het sjaaltje maasde, ook een goede oefening voor de lessenreeks 'het betere breiwerk'.
It's a lace scarf, Peacock tail and leaf, from the book Knitted lace of Estonia. An ideal project to practise Estonian bobbles (nupps). At the end there was a tricky part, where I had to graft a lace border to the scarf.

Ik breide dit met Zealana luxuria Air,  wol die ik kocht in Nieuw-Zeeland, 40% possum, 40% kasjmier en 20% zijde. Het is superwarm, en toch licht, en zal de nek goed warm houden, zonder dat het zwaar valt.
I have knit this with Zealana luxuria Air, yarn  that I bought in New-Zealand, 40% possum, 40% cashmere and 20% silk. It's very warm, yet light, and will keep your neck warm withouth being too heavy.

Ik wens je nog veel  (niet te) koude winters, met elk jaar een nieuw sjaaltje, beloofd!
