TAZ

 Een weekend aan zee, wat uitwaaien en toch wat zon meepikken...en waarom ook niet wat cultuur met TAZ/theater aan zee?

A weekend at the Belgian coast - wind, a little bit of sun, and a lot of theatre at the TAZ-festival...

 Tussen de voorstellingen door kan je relaxen in café Koer, nu voor het eerst in het Leopoldpark. Veel ambiance daar, ook voor de kinderen is er een uitgebreid aanbod.

 Maar het belangrijkste is natuurlijk: theater! En extra sympathiek: een speciale vermelding voor het breiwerk op het programma. Jammer genoeg kan je niet klikken voor details op de setfoto met de acteurs, die heb ik snel-snel met mijn GSM genomen...

But the best part is of course the theatre, more then 300 shows in 10 days... And this one had an extra mention for the knitting under 'costume design'  in the programm. You can't see the details  of the knitwear in the set picture, I took it in a hurry with my cellphone...

En tussendoor wat sokken afwerken...de patentsokken worden zonder hiel gebreid, en daarna in vorm gespannen. Ik ben niet zeker of dat zo'n goed idee is. En om patentsteek zonder foutjes te breien moet ik nog heel wat oefenen! (zie tweede foto).
A weekend at the seaside is also the perfect time to finish some lingering socks. The brioche socks are tubesocks, so no heel, you have to block them into shape. Not so sure about that concept. And I still need a lot of practise to knit brioche stitch without mistakes! (see 2d picture)

Deze zijn dan wel beter gelukt - het patroon is 'order from chaos', het garen Trekking handart in de kleur Tundra (zwart, groen, bordeaux). Echt wel mijn kleuren, maar donker om te breien en met die afgehaalde steken moet je toch wat opletten... Alweer een paar warme sokken voor deze winter!
I like these better - the pattern is called 'order from chaos', and I have knit them in Trekking handart, color Tundra. It's a mixture of black, forest green and wine red. Totally my colors, but sometimes not easy to see what you are doing in this dark colorway. Althoug the pattern was easy (slipped stitches), I still had to frog from time to time, due to lack of concentration? Anyway,  I have another pair of warm socks for next winter!
